DNS Administration Revolutionized -

DeEnesse DNS Server Suite 2.0 is
released, further
adding to the already simple to use DNS tools!
Canoga Park, California. April 28, 1998, Cyberspace HQ today
announced DeEnesse 2.0, an new version of its DNS Server Suite - An
application that takes the crypto-babble out of DNS servers, giving the
ability for just about anyone to easily run their own DNS server, and
understand what is going on!
In 1996, Cyberspace HQ's Michael Kovnick took on the task of setting
up a company DNS server. After finding the Windows NT port of
BIND, and several commercialware products that all seemed to require a
degree in rocket science to understand, he consulted with other
administrators to find the secret to understanding DNS. He quickly
found that those who knew considered it a secret to guard. It
seemed that once you understood, you were admitted into the secret
circle of those who 'get' DNS.
After weeks of reading and questioning everyone he knew, he finally
decided that this was a prime example of software that just needed to be
simplified. That is when the DeEnesse project was born:
Write an application that will simplify the administration of a DNS
server.
Packed into DNS users will find:
- A logical GUI interface that steps the user through each task.
- Useful utilities like a GUI NS Lookup, WhoIs, Ping and Trace
Route.
- Wizards for Domain Setup.
- The most complete documentation you will find on managing a DNS
server.
- An Internic Domain Registration utility.
- and of course, the Windows NT/95 port of BIND.
Cyberspace HQ has taken every effort to not only make DNS something
one can easily understand, but to make the time spent administering a
server as short and sweet as possible. DeEnesse allows for tons of
default setting, it imports other DNS Server settings, manages multiple
servers over a local network, and even auto-creates secondary servers.
Availability and Pricing
The product is available now through shareware distribution and is
priced at $199 for a single computer license. Additional computer
licenses are available for $99.00.
